Beyerdynamic AVENTHO Y over-ear headphones active noise cancellation battery life audio technology

German audio manufacturer Beyerdynamic has introduced the AVENTHO Y, a new line of wireless over-ear headphones, at IFA 2026. Priced at $149.99, the headphones feature active noise cancellation (ANC) and a replaceable battery.

The device offers up to 90 hours of battery life with ANC turned off, and approximately 60 hours with ANC enabled. A five-hour charge provides six hours of playback. The headphones are IP53-rated for durability and are available in several colors, including Liquid Black, Blue Soft Jade, and Peach Blush.

Early reviews note that while the headphones are extremely comfortable and provide strong, clear vocals, the sound profile can be flat and lacks openness without adjustments via a companion app. Additionally, call quality has been described as scratchy, and the device lacks hi-res Bluetooth codecs.
