Beylikdüzü furniture manufacturer threatened with firearm during 4 million lira extortion attempt

A furniture manufacturer in Beylikdüzü, Mahir Yiğit, was reportedly threatened by individuals attempting to extort 4 million Turkish Liras through a forced promissory note. The incident, which was captured on security cameras, occurred following a commercial dispute involving a furniture company based in İzmir.

According to Yiğit, the threats had been ongoing for approximately six months. He claimed the suspects used intimidation tactics, including verbal threats of violence. On August 2, three individuals arrived at his workshop and demanded the signature on the 4-million-lira note. When Yiğit refused, a physical altercation ensued, and a suspect brandished a firearm outside the workplace.
