Beylikdüzü parking dispute escalates into armed confrontation

An argument over a parking space in the Beylikdüzü district of Istanbul escalated into an armed confrontation on a Sunday afternoon. The dispute began between two neighbors, M. E. A. and E. K. T., in the open parking lot of a residential complex.

The situation intensified when M. E. A.’s father, S. T., intervened by brandishing a handgun, causing panic among residents. A bystander, Y. Ö., intervened by disarming the individual, preventing potential casualties. Following the incident, police detained the involved parties. S. T. was referred to judicial authorities on charges of intentional injury, while E. K. T. was released after police procedures.
