Beymen Young Talent Design Competition winners announced

The winners of the Beymen Young Talent Design Competition have been announced during a press conference hosted by Beymen Group CEO Elif Çapçı at Istanbul Modern. The competition focused on interpreting Anatolian cultural heritage through contemporary bag designs.

Twelve project groups from Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University, Marmara University, Bahçeşehir University, and Istanbul Bilgi University participated. The first-place award was granted to the “Tulip Elegance” design by Marmara University students Nihal Velioğlu, Selda Kara, and Ebrar Bayram, which draws inspiration from the aesthetics of the Tulip Era.

Second place went to the “Dilruba” design by Marmara University students Aleyna Gökdemir, Buse Liman, and Rümeysa Özdemir, inspired by Ottoman coffee culture. Third place was awarded to the “Hatır-ı Zer” design by Istanbul Bilgi University students Esma Tuğba Ürün, Zeynep Sude Tuç, and Hilal Naz Durak, which references traditional palace craftsmanship and goldwork.

The competition is part of the “Timeless Treasures-The Eternal Journey of the Bag” project, which aims to support young Turkish designers and bring them to the international stage. The project includes an exhibition scheduled to open on November 8.
