Beyoğlu cargo vehicle accident leaves parked car suspended

A cargo vehicle lost control on a slope in the Kadı Mehmet Efendi neighborhood of Beyoğlu, striking a parked car owned by Mustafa Meral. The impact caused Meral's vehicle to collide with a parked van, leaving the car suspended at the edge of the road.

The accident occurred around 12:15 PM on Tuesday, May 12. Reports indicate the driver of the cargo vehicle had left the vehicle to deliver packages, after which the unmanned vehicle reportedly rolled down the hill due to brake failure. No injuries were reported, though both vehicles sustained damage. Meral noted that he had experienced a nearly identical accident at the same location previously involving a different driver.

Police have launched an investigation into the incident, and a tow truck was called to remove the suspended vehicle.
