Beyoğlu dog dispute leads to stabbing and arrest

A dispute between two dog owners in the Kocatepe neighborhood of Beyoğlu, Istanbul, escalated into a violent stabbing on a Sunday night. The incident began when a pitbull, owned by 60-year-old İsmet Ramazan Ş., attacked a terrier belonging to 53-year-old Murat H. while the latter was walking with his spouse.

Following the attack, a verbal confrontation ensued as Murat H. urged the pitbull owner to control his animal. The argument turned physical, and Murat H. allegedly stabbed İsmet Ramazan Ş. in three different locations. Security footage captured the dog attack and the subsequent struggle between the individuals.

Emergency services responded to the scene, and the injured pitbull owner was transported to a hospital for treatment. Murat H. was taken into custody and subsequently arrested by the court on charges of intentional injury and violation of the Firearms Law.
