Beyoncé acquires full ownership of SirDavis whisky brand from LVMH

Beyoncé has acquired full ownership of the whisky brand SirDavis, buying out the stake previously held by the French luxury conglomerate LVMH. The transaction, confirmed by LVMH, involves the brand that was launched in 2024 as a joint venture between the singer and Moët Hennessy, LVMH’s wines and spirits division.

SirDavis is an American whisky brand headquartered in Houston, Texas. The product was developed in collaboration with master distiller Bill Lumsden and is inspired by both Japanese and Scotch whisky traditions, utilizing Pedro Ximenez sherry casks. The brand is named in honor of Beyoncé’s great-grandfather, Davis Hogue, who was an illicit distiller in Texas during the Prohibition era.

While the specific financial terms and purchase price of the buyout were not disclosed, the move marks a shift in the relationship between the Knowles-Carter family and LVMH. While Beyoncé’s husband, Jay-Z, maintains a partnership with the group through the champagne brand Armand de Brignac, Beyoncé has opted for full autonomy over her spirits business.
