Beyoncé and Maluma release collaboration honoring Celia Cruz
Beyoncé and Maluma have released a new bilingual collaboration titled ‘Cuerpo (Tumbao)’. The track, which features a sample of Celia Cruz’s classic ‘La negra tiene tumbao’, serves as a tribute to the legendary Afro-Cuban singer.
The song is part of the ‘B’Day (20th Anniversary Deluxe Edition)’, celebrating two decades since the release of Beyoncé’s original 2006 album. This expanded edition includes 31 tracks, featuring unreleased material, remastered versions, and other Latin-focused collaborations. One notable addition is ‘Irreemplazable (Como La Flor)’, a posthumous duet with Selena Quintanilla.
Produced by Beyoncé, Edgar Barrera, and CASTA, the new track reimagines elements of ‘Get Me Bodied’ with salsa rhythms and a mix of Spanish and English lyrics.
