Beyoncé and Maluma release new collaboration featuring Celia Cruz sample

Beyoncé and Maluma have released “Cuerpo (Tumbao)”, marking the first official collaboration between the American pop star and the Colombian singer. The track is part of the “B’Day (20th Anniversary Edition)”, a special release celebrating two decades of Beyoncé’s second studio album.

The production incorporates a sample of “La Negra Tiene Tumbao”, a hit by the legendary Cuban singer Celia Cruz. The new version builds upon the song “Get Me Bodied” from the original 2006 album, blending it with Latin elements and Spanish lyrics. The anniversary edition features 31 tracks, including unreleased recordings and new collaborations.

The release coincided with Beyoncé’s 45th birthday on September 4. The collaboration highlights the connection between American pop and Colombian urban music while honoring the legacy of Celia Cruz.
