Beyoncé donates $200,000 to Indiana flood relief

The BeyGOOD Foundation, established by Beyoncé, has donated $200,000 to support relief efforts in Indiana following a devastating derecho storm. The funds are designated for the City Life Center and Angel by Nature, both of which are providing on-the-ground assistance to communities most affected by the weather event.

The storm, characterized by widespread wind and severe thunderstorms, caused significant flooding and property damage, leaving more than 1,000 people unhoused. The city of Gary is among the areas expected to receive aid. The donation will facilitate the distribution of food, household supplies, and other essential resources to families in need during the immediate relief and ongoing recovery phases.

The disaster, which resulted in seven deaths and extensive infrastructure damage, led to a federal major disaster declaration for the region.
