Beyoncé Takes Full Ownership of SirDavis American Whisky

Entertainer Beyoncé Knowles‑Carter has acquired Moët Hennessy's stake, becoming the sole owner of the SirDavis American Whisky brand. The luxury spirit, launched in 2024, draws inspiration from her paternal great‑grandfather, Davis Hogue, a Prohibition‑era moonshiner, and is distilled in Indiana with a 51% rye, 49% malted barley mash bill before being finished and bottled in Texas.

The purchase was announced without financial details. Beyoncé worked closely with whisky creator Dr Bill Lumsden of Glenmorangie and Ardbeg and head blender Cameron George on the product, which retails for $89 in the United States. Moët Hennessy, part of LVMH, has been reducing its portfolio and sold the brand as part of that strategy.
