Beyond The Panel event to highlight women in sports and technology

Keonna Farmer will host ‘Beyond the Panel: Women in Sports, Fashion & Technology’ on Saturday, October 24, at The Avondale Gallery and Loft. Serving as a kickoff for the Magic City Classic weekend, the event aims to explore professional opportunities surrounding athletics, including careers in business, branding, and technology.

The panel features a diverse group of professionals, such as Alabama A&M University women’s basketball coach Dawn Thornton, athletic director Dr. Paul A. Bryant, and NFL/CFL veteran Kevin Elliott. Other participants include Cache AI CEO Kobi Wu, entrepreneur Kyla Carr, and fashion stylist LaDonna Hardy Allen.

A specialized session titled ‘BUILD THE PLAY: Women’s Sports Innovation Workshop’ will also be held. This workshop is designed to connect attendees with experts in fields such as name, image, and likeness (NIL), athlete development, sports technology, and media.
