Turkey local news: Festivals, agriculture, and community visits

Various local community and agricultural activities are being reported across Turkey. In Menemen, the 6th Bozalan Fig Festival is scheduled for August 23, featuring product stands, workshops, a nutrition seminar by dietitian Hatice Nur Ege, and evening concerts by artists including Bengü, Metin Şentürk, and Oğuz Görce.

In Elazığ, Özel Çetin has expanded grape production to over 300 decares near Lake Keban, exporting varieties such as Elazığ White to Russia. In Ağrı's Patnos district, residents are traditionally drying capia peppers for winter use. Meanwhile, in Beypazarı, Ankara, a new soda shop offers 330 different flavors, including pine resin and rose aromas.
