Bezanes hosts VI World Championship in Madreñes Running

The VI World Championship in Madreñes Running was held in Bezanes, organized by the Asociación Cultural Recreativa y de Festejos de Sobrecastiellu (COFEBE). The event featured 90 participants competing in various categories using traditional footwear.

Winners included Mía Fernández in the children's category, Elsa Magdalena in the youth category, Paula García in the junior women's category, and Abraham Prado in the junior men's category. In the senior category, Manuel Fernández won the men's division and María Ángeles Maestre won the women's division. The oldest participant was 81-year-old Fernando Vega.

Eugenio García received the ‘Madreñina del Añu’ award for his role in establishing and consolidating the championship.
