Litomyšl Fest Kicks Off with Film Lineup and Concerts
The Litomyšl Fest opened on 28 July with a screening of the musical film *All that Jazz* and a concert by the band Vltava. The programme runs until 2 August and features almost one hundred films and a dozen concerts. Highlights include documentary screenings such as a film about Bára Basiková by Helena Třeštíková, *Dvě deci tuše* by Ester Geislerová and the Slovak documentary *Posledný Hebrej*. The festival also presents pre‑premiere international titles – e.g. *Justice* (Germany), *New Beginnings* (Denmark), a remastered *Dogma* (USA) and *Bitter Holidays* (Spain) – alongside Czech productions. The only prize awarded is the Audience Award for the best film, and a preview of the Czech TV series *Na tělo* will be shown during the event.
