Bezvěrov fire destroys four houses and workshop

A major residential fire broke out in the early hours of Wednesday in Bezvěrov, located in the Plzeň region. The blaze quickly spread through a row of houses, affecting four properties, including a workshop and a garage.

Four houses were destroyed or heavily damaged, while a fifth house in the row was successfully saved by firefighters. Seven people were evacuated from their homes, and two individuals sustained injuries during the incident.

Emergency responders from 14 units, including both professional and volunteer firefighters from the Plzeň and Karlovy Vary regions, attended the scene. Due to high water demand and low pressure in the local network, water had to be transported from neighboring municipalities. Preliminary damage is estimated at 18 million CZK. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by the fire department and police.
