BFI London Film Festival announces Official Competition lineup

The 70th BFI London Film Festival has announced the ten films selected for its Official Competition. These films will compete for the prestigious Best Film Award, with the winner to be revealed by the LFF Awards Jury on October 18th.

The competition features an international selection representing ten different countries, including the UK, Ireland, Brazil, Denmark, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Japan, and Poland. The lineup includes works from established filmmakers such as Hirokazu Kore-eda, Sergei Loznitsa, Carol Morley, and Benjamín Naishtat.

Notable entries include the UK's ‘7 Miles Out’ directed by Carol Morley, the Ireland-UK production ‘Act 3’ by Christine Molloy and Joe Lawlor, and the Brazilian-Argentine film ‘Glaxo’ directed by Benjamín Naishtat. Other contending titles include ‘Imperium’, ‘Ketticè’, ‘Look Back’, ‘My Notes on Mars’, and ‘The Difficult Bride’.
