B.G. and Juvenile propose Hot Boys biopic

Veteran Cash Money Records collaborators B.G. and Juvenile have proposed turning the history of the New Orleans rap group Hot Boys into a film or limited series. During a recent discussion on the Still 400 podcast, B.G. suggested the project could be a “blockbuster,” comparing its potential impact to the film “Straight Outta Compton.”

Juvenile noted that the group’s complex history might be better suited for a limited series to allow each member to share their individual perspective. Both artists emphasized a desire for authentic storytelling, stating they would prefer scripts shaped by those who lived through the era rather than using AI-generated content.

The Hot Boys, which originally included B.G., Juvenile, Lil Wayne, and Turk, played a pivotal role in establishing Cash Money Records in the late 1990s. While no official film project has been announced, the group has recently been seen reconnecting publicly, and Juvenile has indicated they have been working on new music.
