BH Telecom to modernize mobile network and phase out 3G
BH Telecom has announced a modernization of its mobile network to enhance 4G+ capabilities, focusing on increased data speeds and connection stability. As part of this transition and to optimize radio frequency spectrum usage, the company will begin a phased shutdown of its 3G network starting October 1, 2026. The resources previously used for 3G will be redirected to expand 4G+ capacity.
While the 2G network will remain active, users with SIM cards older than seven years may need to upgrade to ensure compatibility with 4G+ technology. To facilitate this transition, BH Telecom is offering free replacements of older SIM cards with new USIM cards through December 31, 2026.
