Bhadrak police arrest man and wife for killing son

A man and his second wife have been arrested following the fatal stabbing of his married son in the Chunnida area of Bhadrak, Odisha. The incident occurred on Wednesday morning at the family home.

Police report that the victim, Bikash Kumar Sahu, was killed during a long-running dispute involving property and family enmity. The accused, 65-year-old Rabindra Sahu, allegedly attacked his son with a knife. His second wife, Mamata Sahu, was also arrested for allegedly aiding the killing. The victim’s wife, Smrutirekha Dash, filed the complaint after witnessing the attack.

Bikash and his wife had married in March and had reportedly been living separately from his parents due to the ongoing disputes. Following the attack, the victim was rushed to the Bhadrak District Headquarters Hospital, where he was declared dead. Police have registered a case and are continuing their investigation.
