Bhagwant Singh Mann expresses desire to attend Punjabi conference in Lahore

Indian Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann has expressed his desire to attend the World Punjabi Conference scheduled to take place in Lahore on November 27. Speaking during a session of the Punjab Assembly, Mann confirmed that organizers have extended an invitation and offered hospitality for the event.

While expressing his interest in celebrating the shared language, culture, and literary traditions of Punjab across the border, Mann raised concerns regarding travel clearances from the Indian central government. He questioned whether he would be granted permission to visit Pakistan, noting past instances where he was allegedly denied permission to travel to countries such as France and Japan.

The Punjab Assembly Speaker suggested that if the Chief Minister receives permission to visit Pakistan, he should take other lawmakers with him. Mann responded by stating his wish to visit Kartarpur alongside others.
