Bharat International Rice Conference 2026 attracts global buyers

The Bharat International Rice Conference (BIRC 2026) is set to convene in New Delhi at Bharat Mandapam from October 23 to 25. Organized by the Indian Rice Exporters’ Federation (IREF), the event has attracted 4,649 buyer registrations from more than 150 countries, including major importing markets such as Kuwait, South Africa, Benin, Nigeria, the UAE, and Saudi Arabia.

More than 180 companies have secured exhibition space, which has sold out for the second year in a row. Ahead of the opening, 2,038 business-to-business (B2B) meetings have already been scheduled via the conference's digital platform. EY will assist in coordinating one-to-one meetings to facilitate direct engagement between Indian suppliers and international customers.

The conference will feature nine knowledge sessions covering topics such as global demand and supply, export payments, shipping costs, quality standards, and government policies. Discussions are also expected to address the global rice price outlook for 2027.
