Bharat International Rice Conference 2026 opens in New Delhi

The Bharat International Rice Conference (BIRC) 2026 commenced on Friday at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi. Organized by the Indian Rice Exporters’ Federation (IREF), the three-day event aims to connect Indian rice exporters with international buyers to explore new markets and assess the global rice price outlook for 2027.

The conference has recorded 32,467 registrations, including 4,856 buyers representing 153 countries. Exhibition space is fully booked for the second consecutive year, with over 180 companies expected to participate. The event features 65 speakers and nine knowledge sessions designed to address market conditions, export opportunities, and profitability across the rice value chain.

Through a digital platform, 2,038 business-to-business meetings have already been scheduled. The program includes sessions on global demand and supply outlooks for Basmati and non-Basmati rice, as well as discussions on crop surveys, price forecasting, shipping, and government policy. Participants include representatives from 23 Indian states, linking domestic production and processing centers with global markets.
