Bharat International Rice Conference 2026 to be held in New Delhi

The Bharat International Rice Conference (BIRC) 2026 is scheduled to take place from October 23-25 at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi. The three-day event aims to expand the global rice industry dialogue beyond commerce by utilizing nine curated experience zones.

These zones will explore various aspects of rice, including its role in civilization, nutrition, technology, and innovation. Key attractions include the Rice Archive, which will feature 200 rice varieties, and the Rice Mirror zone, which will examine the relationship between artificial intelligence and rice cultivation. Other zones will cover the evolution of rice through time, its diverse uses beyond food, and its impact on global trade networks.

The 2026 conference follows the BIRC 2025 event, which an Ernst & Young (EY) report identified as the largest dedicated rice conference in terms of scale. The previous edition attracted over 10,000 visitors and 1,083 international buyers from more than 90 countries, generating approximately USD 3.02 billion in export commitments.
