Bharat Rashtra Samithi launches campaign against Congress in Telangana
The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) has announced a week-long campaign across Telangana starting September 2 to criticize the Congress government as it reaches 1,000 days in office. BRS working president KT Rama Rao (KTR) alleged that the ruling party has failed to fulfill its campaign promises, including specific guarantees and financial assistance, and accused the administration of corruption and misgovernance.
In a separate criticism, BRS leaders KT Rama Rao and K. Kavitha accused Rahul Gandhi of maintaining ‘double standards’ regarding police conduct. They questioned why the Congress leader demanded an FIR following police action against a student in Delhi but remained silent regarding alleged police high-handedness against protesting students in Telangana. The BRS leaders highlighted specific incidents of alleged police excessive force against students in the state, contrasting it with Gandhi’s actions in New Delhi.
