Bhargav Deshpande joins Bharat Rashtra Samithi

Senior Congress leader and former NSUI president Bhargav Deshpande has joined the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS). The transition took place in Hyderabad in the presence of BRS working president KT Rama Rao (KTR), who welcomed Deshpande by draping a pink scarf around his shoulders.

Deshpande, a prominent figure from the Adilabad district, announced his resignation from the Congress party as part of a broader effort by the BRS to strengthen its presence in the region. The move comes ahead of the Telangana Graduate MLC elections scheduled for March 2027.

The BRS is actively seeking to induct leaders from rival parties and professionals to bolster its grassroots strength in preparation for upcoming assembly elections. Other party leaders, including former minister Jogu Ramanna, were present during the induction ceremony.
