Bharrat Jagdeo calls for political unity at Robert Corbin memorial

Guyanese Vice President Bharrat Jagdeo attended a memorial service for the late Robert Corbin, a former Deputy Prime Minister and Opposition Leader. During the event, Jagdeo called for political unity and a shift toward “enlightened thinking” to address the nation's challenges.

Jagdeo emphasized that the future of Guyana requires political parties to work together in some capacity to achieve national goals and support citizens. He warned that without significant changes and a new approach to problem-solving, both the People's Progressive Party (PPP) and the People's National Congress (PNC) face the risk of “extinction.”
