BHASHINI deploys real-time AI translation for international programme in Mussoorie

The Digital India BHASHINI Division facilitated real-time multilingual communication during an international capacity-building programme in Mussoorie. The event, focused on urban service delivery for civil servants, is being held from October 12 to 23, 2026, at the National Centre for Good Governance (NCGG).

As part of India’s international cooperation through the Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC) Programme, the initiative includes participants from Peru, Cambodia, Nigeria, Kenya, Palestine, Lebanon, The Gambia, Ecuador, and Spain.

BHASHINI deployed its Shrutlekh platform to provide two-way, real-time translation between English and Spanish. This deployment utilizes a ‘Voice-First Multilingual AI’ approach designed to reduce language barriers and improve accessibility in digital communication and public services.
