Bhaskar Madhei heckled during flood inspection in Mayurbhanj

Udala MLA Bhaskar Madhei was involved in a heated confrontation while inspecting flood-affected areas in the Mayurbhanj district of Odisha. A video of the incident has circulated widely on social media, showing an individual using abusive language and allegedly attempting to physically assault the legislator.

Madhei clarified that the confrontation occurred after he paused to thank a local youth for voluntarily distributing free food to flood victims. He stated that the aggressor was an individual under the influence of alcohol who accused him of visiting the area solely for political gain. While the MLA expressed displeasure at the behavior, he maintained his composure during the encounter. Madhei further asserted that social media posts have exaggerated the incident and emphasized that his focus remains on addressing the hardships of the public during the flood crisis.
