Bhayangkara FC appoints Oscar Bruzon as new head coach

Bhayangkara FC has officially appointed Spanish coach Oscar Bruzon Barreras as their new head coach. Bruzon succeeds Paul Munster, who led the team to a fifth-place finish in the Super League 2025/2026 season following their promotion.

Bruzon, 49, brings extensive experience in South Asian football. Most recently, he led East Bengal to the Indian Super League title during the 2025/2026 season. His previous coaching roles include stints with Sporting Goa, Mumbai FC, New Radiant in the Maldives, and Bashundhara Kings in Bangladesh. He also served as an interim coach for the Bangladesh national team and held positions in Spain with Celta Vigo youth and Mallorca.

The club management announced the appointment via social media, expressing hope that Bruzon’s regional expertise will help the team achieve greater success in the upcoming 2026/2027 Super League season.
