Bhopal police ban protests at key intersections under Section 163

The Bhopal Police Commissionerate has issued a prohibitory order under Section 163, banning protests, strikes, movements, and effigy burning at several key locations in the city. The restrictions apply to Polytechnic Chauraha, Roshanpura, and Kilol Park.

This decision was made to prevent traffic disruptions on major routes and ensure the smooth movement of emergency services, such as ambulances and fire brigades. The affected areas are critical transit points for access to the Raj Bhavan, the airport, Hamidia Hospital, Gandhi Medical College, and the Legislative Assembly.

The order is set to remain in effect for two months from the date of issuance. Copies of the directive have been distributed to the Divisional Commissioner, Collector, Municipal Commissioner, and relevant police station heads to ensure enforcement.
