Bhopal police offers ₹30,000 reward in Twisha Sharma death case, cites no homicide evidence

Bhopal Police Commissioner Sanjay Kumar announced a cash reward of ₹30,000 for anyone who provides information leading to the arrest of Samarth Singh, the husband accused in the death of Twisha Sharma. Singh remains at large despite an arrest warrant issued on May 18, 2026, and the reward was raised from an earlier ₹10,000 offer.

The investigation, initially filed under the Dowry Prohibition Act and several IPC sections, has found no forensic evidence of murder, according to the commissioner. Officials are treating the case as a possible suicide, which could narrow the charges against Singh to dowry‑related harassment and related offenses. Police have set up multiple teams to locate the fugitive and have pledged to keep the identity of any informant confidential.
