Bhopal to host 12-day Swadeshi Mela with 200 stalls

A 12-day Swadeshi Mela is scheduled to take place in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, starting October 23. Organized jointly by the Swadeshi Jagran Manch and the Swarnim Bharatvarsh Foundation, the event will feature over 200 stalls showcasing indigenous products.

The fair aims to promote the ‘Local for Vocal’ and ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ (Self-reliant India) initiatives by providing a marketplace for local artisans, weavers, craftsmen, and micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). The event is designed to encourage entrepreneurship among women and youth while introducing consumers to the quality and diversity of Indian products.

In addition to trade, the fair will serve as a cultural celebration featuring daily performances, school programs, and dance and drama competitions intended to connect the younger generation with indigenous values and traditions.
