Bhopal Youth Conclave turns chaotic as students clash with police

The CM Youth Conclave held at Lal Parade Ground in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, saw significant unrest following a dialogue session between Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav and thousands of students. While the event was designed to discuss career opportunities, technology, and entrepreneurship, chaos erupted during a musical performance by singer Jubin Nautiyal.

As students attempted to push forward and enter the inner areas of the venue, they clashed with police at the barricades. The confrontation escalated, with some students throwing shoes, chairs, and dust at security personnel. Police reportedly used mild force to disperse the crowd, which led to a stampede-like situation where a female student was reportedly crushed under the crowd.

Prior to the unrest, the conclave focused on emerging technologies such as AI, robotics, and drones. Chief Minister Yadav engaged with approximately 20,000 youths, encouraging them to pursue startups and innovation in sectors like agriculture and engineering. Opposition leaders, including Congress State President Jitu Patwari, have criticized the government regarding the security breakdown and the resulting chaos.
