BHRT files complaint against RTRS for alleged judicial interference

The Public Broadcasting Service of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BHRT) has filed a formal complaint with the Communications Regulatory Agency (RAK) against the Public Radio Television of Republika Srpska (RTRS). BHRT alleges that RTRS committed gross violations of the Code of Program Content during news broadcasts aired on August 14, 15, and 16, 2026.

BHRT claims that RTRS violated principles of accuracy, fairness, and impartiality. The complaint specifically highlights RTRS's alleged attempt to exert undue pressure on the judiciary by naming Judge Gordana Marić of the District Commercial Court in Banja Luka and suggesting how judges should act in active legal proceedings.

Additionally, BHRT asserts that RTRS used its public resources to conduct a political and legal battle, including making inappropriate claims about BHRT management and selectively reporting court minutes. The complaint seeks urgent action and sanctions from RAK to address these alleged breaches and protect the integrity of the judicial process and the public's right to unbiased information.
