Bhubaneswar Police return 307 recovered mobile phones to owners
The Bhubaneswar Urban Police District (UPD) has successfully recovered and returned 307 mobile phones to their rightful owners. The devices, which were reported lost or stolen, were handed over during a special program held at the Police Seva Sadan in Bhubaneswar.
Many of the phones were stolen in crowded areas during the festive period between Rath Yatra and Durga Puja. The recovery effort was spearheaded by the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) and the OCPO Cell, which alone secured 151 devices. Other significant recoveries were made through local police stations in Saheed Nagar, Mancheswar, Badagada, and several other jurisdictions.
Police officials utilized advanced tracking methods to trace the devices across multiple areas. The initiative is part of a broader commitment by the Commissionerate Police to address street crime and enhance public trust through prompt service and property recovery.
