Bhutan tops list of world’s quietest countries for tranquil travel

A new "Noise‑Free Nations Index" compiled by travel company Go2Africa ranks countries by how little modern noise they offer. The World Health Organization notes noise pollution as a major health risk, prompting the index to score destinations on factors such as tourist footfall and natural land cover.

Bhutan leads with a Quiet Score of 89.44, followed by Namibia (86.69) and Botswana (85.??). Zambia, Bolivia and Mongolia also rank in the top ten, offering travelers remote natural settings and minimal ambient sound.

The ranking aims to help travelers seeking silence and reduced stress, highlighting destinations where the hum of modern life is a distant memory.
