Indian fast bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar has addressed speculation regarding his potential selection for the 2027 ODI World Cup. Responding to inquiries about his future in the national side, Kumar stated that he is focusing on his current performance rather than speculating on what comes next, noting, “I want to play, I am playing. After that, I cannot say anything about what will happen.”

Kumar is set to captain the Lucknow Falcons in the fourth season of the Uttar Pradesh T20 League, which begins on August 14. The tournament will be hosted across two cities, with matches held at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow and Green Park Stadium in Kanpur. Kumar expressed optimism about the growth of state-level T20 leagues, viewing them as vital stepping stones for players aiming to reach the Indian Premier League (IPL) and the national team.
