Bhuvneshwar Kumar faces calls for Indian cricket team comeback

Former cricketer Suresh Raina has advocated for the return of veteran seamer Bhuvneshwar Kumar to the Indian national team. Raina highlighted Kumar’s recent performance in the 2026 IPL season, where he played a key role in Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s successful title defense by taking 28 wickets.

Despite his strong domestic form and success in the UPT20 League, Kumar has not represented India in white-ball cricket since November 2022. He was notably excluded from recent T20I tours and upcoming series against Afghanistan and the 2026 Asian Games.

In a viral video, the 36-year-old pacer addressed the calls for his return, stating, “Mann toh mera bhi hai” (I want to as well), expressing his desire to play for the country again.
