Bhuvneshwar Kumar returns to India squad for T20I series decider

Veteran pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar has made his return to the Indian T20I squad for the fifth and final match against the West Indies in Bengaluru. His inclusion follows an injury to Arshdeep Singh, who sustained a left shoulder blow during the fourth T20I in Hyderabad.

With the five-match series currently tied at 2-2, the series decider at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium was impacted by rain, resulting in a shortened nine-overs-a-side contest. West Indies won the toss and elected to bowl first.

Kumar, 36, returns to international cricket after a nearly four-year absence, having last played for India in November 2022. His comeback follows strong performances in the IPL with Royal Challengers Bengaluru. He has also been named in the squad for India's upcoming T20I series against New Zealand starting October 22.
