Biała Rawska railway station construction begins in Poland
Construction has commenced on a new railway station in Biała Rawska, located on the Central Magistrala Kolejowa (CMK) in the Łódź Voivodeship. The project, managed by Polskie Linie Kolejowe S.A., is valued at approximately 147 million PLN and is expected to be completed by late 2027 or early 2028.
The investment aims to provide the Rawski district with its first access to high-speed rail, offering connections to Warsaw, Krakow, and Katowice. The station will feature two 400-meter single-sided platforms equipped with shelters, lighting, and passenger information systems. The project also includes the construction of two new tracks, approximately 3.5 kilometers long each, to ensure that stopping trains do not impede the speed of through-traffic on the CMK.
Additional infrastructure will include a pedestrian and bicycle viaduct, parking areas, and access roads. Current construction activities are not expected to impact existing train schedules.
