Bianca Salming to dedicate ‘Let’s Dance’ performance to father Börje Salming

Athlete Bianca Salming will dedicate her upcoming performance on the television program ‘Let’s Dance’ to her late father, Börje Salming. The hockey legend passed away from ALS in November 2022.

Salming, performing alongside dance partner Hugo Gustafsson, has chosen to perform a pasodoble set to the song ‘The Final Countdown’. She described the decision as a way to feel her father’s presence in her activities, noting that while her mother watches the program weekly, she wants to honor her father’s memory as well.

Salming expressed that while the week began with emotional difficulty, the rehearsal process has made the tribute feel more powerful than sorrowful. She aims to showcase both strength and the humble, kind side of her personality that she associates with her father.
