Bianca Westwood announces end of football broadcasting career

Former Sky Sports reporter Bianca Westwood has announced that she will likely never return to football broadcasting. Westwood, who spent 22 years with the broadcaster and was the first female reporter on ‘Soccer Saturday’, addressed her followers on TikTok to clarify her career direction.

Westwood stated that she does not intend to return to Sky Sports, noting that she felt opportunities were becoming scarce and that the broadcaster ‘didn’t really rate me’ in the year leading up to her departure. She accepted redundancy in 2023.

Since leaving sports media, Westwood has transitioned to producing content focused on fashion, beauty, skincare, and women's health topics such as menopause. While she remains a supporter of West Ham United, she noted that she has taken a break from watching football as intensely as she did during her broadcasting career.
