Biancoforno management accused of attacking union leader

The CGIL and FLAI CGIL unions have issued a strong condemnation regarding what they describe as a campaign of delegitimization, pressure, and personal attacks against Natasha Merola, the General Secretary of FLAI.

The dispute follows a union assembly held on September 11 at the Biancoforno facility in Fornacette, Pisa. According to the unions, the company's management, specifically through a statement signed by the CEO, targeted Merola personally in an attempt to obstruct her efforts to protect workers' rights.

The core of the labor dispute involves the company's scheduling practices. Union representatives stated it is unacceptable that work schedules are communicated to employees only one day in advance via WhatsApp messages. The unions accused the company of decontextualizing statements made during the assembly to create a distorted version of the debate rather than addressing the violation of national collective bargaining agreements.
