Biarritz Pizza and Wine Bar receives CHK kosher certification

Biarritz Pizza and Wine Bar, an upscale dairy restaurant located on Kingston Avenue in Crown Heights, has announced that the CHK, the Crown Heights Beis Din’s kashrus division, will grant it kosher certification.

New partners have joined longtime owner and manager Clara Perez, who previously co-owned the original Basil Pizza and Wine Bar at the same location. The new partners include brothers Yossi and Mica Soffer, co-owners of the COLlive Media Group, along with Shmulik and Aidy Soffer.

Biarritz opened in February 2025, aiming to revive the reputation of its predecessor, Basil, which was a well-known destination for kosher dining in the Tri-State area. The restaurant offers a menu featuring artisanal pizza, fresh fish, pasta, salads, coffee, beer, and wine.
