Białystok to invest 70 million PLN in bus and bicycle mobility
Białystok has secured over 70 million PLN to develop urban mobility, focusing on bus and bicycle infrastructure. Approximately 45 million PLN of the total funding is provided by the European Union.
The project, titled ‘Improvement of urban mobility (bicycle and bus) in BOF – City of Białystok’, includes eight investment tasks. Key components involve the purchase of 10 zero-emission electric buses and the construction or renovation of 5.1 km of bicycle paths on streets including Świętokrzyska, Jana Klemensa Branickiego, Piastowska, Baranowicka, Składowa, and Witolda Sławińskiego.
Additionally, the project will renovate the bus loop at Zielonogórska Street, accompanied by the creation of parking facilities and bike shelters. The initiative also aims to implement Park&Ride and Bike&Ride solutions to facilitate seamless transitions between different modes of transport.
