Bibel TV celebrates 24 years of Christian media broadcasting
Bibel TV is celebrating its 24th anniversary. Founded by media entrepreneur Norman Rentrop in collaboration with various Christian organizations and the two major German churches, the Hamburg-based broadcaster has expanded its reach beyond linear television.
The platform now includes an online presence that aggregates programs from other German-speaking Christian providers, such as Hope TV, K-TV, and ERF, alongside its own content via apps and digital offerings. The organization is supported by a group of 16 shareholders, including the Norman Rentrop Foundation, Catholic and Protestant church media companies, mission works, and the Association of Evangelical Free Churches (VeF).
Bibel TV operates primarily through donations and does not receive church tax or public broadcasting fees (GEZ). Its stated mission is to provide Christian content and biblical teachings through various media channels to engage people with questions regarding faith.
