Bibione police enforce strict checks on illegal labor and under‑age alcohol sales

During a weekend operation in the seaside resort of Bibione, the Polizia di Stato of Venice, together with the Portogruaro police commissariat, the Guardia di Finanza group of Portogruaro and the local police of San Michele al Tagliamento, carried out extraordinary territorial checks on public establishments. The coordinated effort inspected five commercial venues and identified a range of violations. Workers were found to be employed irregularly, alcohol was served to persons under 18, and a minor employee was observed serving alcohol after 22:00, which is prohibited. The local police also imposed sanctions and seized goods related to commercial abuse and inadequate licensing. Approximately 20 individuals were identified, about half of whom were foreign nationals. Administrative irregularities will be pursued by the Division of Police Administrative and Social of the Questura di Venezia, with the overall aim of safeguarding the tourist area during the summer influx.
