Bibliothèque nationale de France to host Georges Perec exhibition

The Bibliothèque nationale de France (BnF) will host an exhibition titled ‘Georges Perec, modes d’emploi’ from October 13, 2026, to February 14, 2027. The event aims to explore the creative universe of the influential 20th-century French writer.

Featuring nearly 300 items, including manuscripts and documents, the exhibition highlights Perec’s unique approach to literature, specifically his use of formal constraints and linguistic games. As a member of the Oulipo group, Perec is noted for works such as ‘La Disparition’, a novel written entirely without the letter ‘e’.
