Bicaz Gorges feature dramatic cliffs in Romania
The Bicaz Gorges, located in the heart of the Romanian Eastern Carpathians, form a dramatic natural canyon situated on the border between Neamț and Harghita counties. The landscape is characterized by vertical rock walls that reach heights between 200 and 300 meters.
The Bicaz River flows through the canyon, which spans approximately 8 to 10 kilometers. The terrain features a variety of sections, ranging from narrow passages where the rock walls nearly meet to more open areas.
